Yinglings knows that golf is supposed to be fun. Our 18 Hole par 3 golf course has an average length of 95 yards per hole, making it a perfect choice for families, the beginning golfer, or the experienced player looking for a quick round of golf. With a total course length of 1720 yards you'll have an enjoyable game without returning exhausted.

Yinglings loves kids, too! This course is great for Elementary thru middle school children to learn all skills at an affordable cost. American Presidents Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge and Dwight D. Eisenhower played the Monterey Country Club course which is just below the peaks of 1,720' Mt. Dunlap and 1,365' Monterey Peak in one of the most scenic settings in the state of PA. Built before 1885, the Monterey CC course is one of the 10 oldest of the 15,000-plus courses in the US (the first opened in 1794 in Savannah, GA).

The club and course keep the ambiance of another era. The 387-yd dogleg first hole, which crosses a brook, is the hardest. Its green is across the tree-lined land from the exact spot at which the Duchess of Windsor was born in 1896 in a cottage next to the old Monterey Inn.

The most interesting hole may be the 5th with a Scottish-style mound that spans the entire width of the fairway in front of the green. The 7th hole has a daunting bowl green from another era.

Accuracy and position are important at the Monterey Club course as they were for the soldiers in July of 1863 when they fought the Monterey Skirmishes on the same 37 acres immediately following the three day Battle of Gettysburg. The Monterey Country Club course, a favorite of Presidents and Diplomats, is 8 miles across the mountains from Camp David.

Located in Chambersburg Pennsylvania, Rocky Spring Golf Course was a private military course until 2000 when it was converted to a public golf course.  Many of the  courses current members, as well as Letterkenny retirees helped build the course in 1962.  Currently owned and operated by C.V. Golf Inc., Rocky Spring provides golfers with a nine hole course, natural grass tee driving range, practice green, practice hole, snack bar and fully stocked pro shop.  With its raised greens and strategically placed bunkers the course will challenge golfers of all skill levels. 

Rocky Spring has a 250+ yard practice facility. Baskets of practice balls are available from the golf shop for guests not playing golf at Rocky Spring. There is also a practice putting green, chipping green and bunker available for your game improvement. Rental clubs are available upon request.
